The boss of a growing copier service made it a family affair when he moved the company to Bradford.
For John Lees' mother, Marion Lees, officially opened ABS UK Ltd's headquarters on the Euroway Estate. And the building has been called Raymond House - named after his father, Raymond Lees.
Mr Lees brought his firm to the city from Brighouse and has big plans for the future.
The opening was attended by a number of people who have helped build up the business which Mr Lees stresses is based on partnership.
"It was great for my mum and dad to be involved in the event, but there were also accountants, solicitors and bankers who have helped the firm grow over the past ten years at the opening - all partners in the firm," he added.
The company, in Commondale Way, is involved in photocopier sales, supply and service. Plans for the firm, which currently employs 34 staff, include increasing call centre staffing levels from nine to 30 by September 2000.
Mr Lees was encouraged to move from Brookfoot Mill in Brighouse by the call centre training on offer in the city.
Mr Lees is developing a call centre operation which will speed up repairs to office equipment.
