KALI EXLEY took the Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross championship with a superb victory in the final race of the season at Hebden Bridge on sunday.
Kali, from Thwaites brow, won every race of the Yorkshire Points series to clock up a total of 120 points.
Kali had warmed up for the points event by winning the Bramley Fall Park race a day earlier.
Her fiance, Ian Taylor, failed by two points to take the men's title which went to Chris Young, even though Taylor won the final race.
Ian Taylor and Kali Exley are expected to take part in the National Cyclo-cross championships which are being held in Sutton Park, Birmingham, on Sunday. Taylor is hoping to beat his previous best of 12th place.
Yorkshire Points results, women: 1 Kali Exley 120, 2 Susan Gill 110, 3 Debra Ardron 85.
Men: 1 Chris Young (Pace Marie Curie) 118, 2 Ian Taylor (Eric Burgess) 116, 3 John Watson (Bradford Olympic) 110.
