German companies are seeking work placements with firms in the Keighley area.
The move comes as a result of the recently launched Trans-Atlantic Environmental Busin-ess Action Partnership - the brainchild of Keighley Business Forum (KBF). A founder member, the World Council of Ass-ociations of Technology Educ-ation, based in Erfurt, Germ-any, has contacted KBF with a view to securing the placements now and in the summer.
One-week placements are being sought in January and February for six German personnel aged between 26 and 52.
A supplier of management solutions for the leisure, hotel and golf markets wants to place an employee interested in the use of solar power for golf and leisure activities with a local manufacturing company, preferably dealing with the automotive industry.
A small battery recycling firm wants to place an employee with a similar company to examine and implement new environmental strategies and waste management methods.
A chemist with a company active in the water and sewage treatment fields, and with specific interest in information technology, is seeking a placement with a related local firm, particularly in the areas of surface/galvanic technology.
A long-established steel construction firm wants to place three employees with construction, design and sales experience with a similar Keighley area company.

In June German companies are looking to secure placements for up to 20 people for periods of up to three months.
The Trans-Atlantic Environ-mental Business Action Partnership was established after last November's KBF-organised Trans-Atlantic Envir-onmental Conference. It invol-ves partners in Germany, France, Denmark, Spain and Ireland, and the initial focus is on creating and taking part in environmental projects.
