COUGAR old boys Keith Dixon and Alex Cain will be turning out for National Conference side, Keighley Albion, this weekend.

For Dixon it is a return to his roots after an incredible 15-year professional career which started when he left Keighley Albion as a teenager to play with his home town professional club.

"It is great to have him back playing for a Keighley team and I'm sure he will give us an extra dimension -- his experience will be invaluable," said Albion coach Gary Moorby.

Alex Cain, 25, was playing in the Cougar first team last year, but turned down an offer to continue with the pro club.

"He has kept in training and is very fit, he will give us size and mobility in the pack," Moorby said.

Keith Dixon signed for Keighley in 1984, and was with the club through some of its darkest years -- and through the highs of Cougarmania -- playing in the Division Three and Division Two winning sides, and winning a Division Two Premiership medal at Old Trafford.

In April 1997 he left Cougar Park, playing 19 games for Dewsbury Rams before moving to Rochdale where he played alongside fellow Keighley old boys Steve Hall, Andy Eyres, Darren Appleby and player-coach Shane Tupaea.

In his last season with Keighley he scored seven tries and kicked 47 goals making him by far the club's leading scorer with a total of 120 points.

Registration forms were sent to BARLA, the amateur game's governing body earlier this week, and they will be in action tomorrow, Saturday, providing the transfer procedure has been completed.

Albion, who have found the step up to National Conference status a big jump, aim for a big improvement in the second half of the season.

Although they are currently propping up the table they will have at least another season in the Conference League.

"We have had quite a number of games which could have gone our way, but the extra confidence of other teams has seen them through, with ex-professionals in our ranks things should start to go our way," Gary Moorby said.

The game against Hull Dockers kicks off at 2pm, Ryshworth Playingfields
