Cut-price steak is on offer to pensioners living in Braithwaite and Guard House.
The estate's Whinfield Community Centre can allow each pensioner up to two trays each containing 12 tins. The steak, donated by the European Union, costs either 5p a tin or 60p a tray.
Anyone wanting tins should go along to the Braithwaite Avenue centre's tool library with proof of name and address such as a pension book.
The library is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to noon. Pensioners who cannot get to the centre should phone 01535 665935 to arrange delivery.
