Pub regulars with a taste for turkey went underground in aid of charity for their Christmas lunch.
Customers at the Turkey Inn, Goose Eye, maintained a tradition by cooking their festive meal in a Dales cave. Seventeen people battled through a blizzard to reach Borrin Moor Cave near Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
The sponsored event raised £630 to be shared between Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue and Airedale Hospital children's ward.
The tradition began in 1990 when four cave-keen Turkey regulars had to be rescued by the Upper Wharfedale team. Since then they have made an annual pilgrimage to the cave to raise money for their rescuers.
This year the adventurers feared they would need to send out an SOS again when they were caught temporarily in the blizzard.
Once safely in the cave, chef Peter Kaye rustled up a traditional Christmas dinner of turkey and vegetables followed by Christmas pudding and cheese and biscuits.
