An expanding firm decided it was time to celebrate when it began a new era at its Shipley offices.

And Bradford's deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Harry Mason joined in what was probably the first Millennium party of 1999 to mark the opening of the Millennium Direct advertising agency.

The company has moved from Crossflatts into Grade II-listed Windhill Manor, in Leeds Road, Shipley, formerly home to the Furever Feline and Sooty's World attractions.

Millennium Direct specialises in direct marketing and advertising for the over-50s, or 'grey market'.

Company director Kevin Lavey said the firm had grown rapidly during its three years and was the only British advertising agency to specialise in the 'grey market'.
