People with a penchant for nostalgia can indulge their passion and earn some money at the same time.

The National Trust is looking for two would-be 17th century staff to act as costumed guides at East Riddlesden Hall in Keighley.

For those who want to play the upper crust, there's a chance to pose as a rich merchant - or his mistress - and those with more humble ambitions can be a house maid.

East Riddlesden Hall's Liz Houseman said: "It is a lovely job in this splendid setting. We provide the costume and all the information about the hall.

"But it would be nice if the people had an interest in the period and could bring their own knowledge to the jobs."
