Paul Jewell writes: I thought my players showed great character to come back from a goal down on a pitch that was never going to be conducive to good football.
The pleasing thing is that this result gives us a good cushion in the league and it is nice to be in the top two.
I was pleased with our reaction to conceding that goal. I decided to put Isaiah Rankin on and take off a defender because when you are at home you have to go chasing goals when behind.
I though Isaiah might cause them a few problems with his pace and that was what resulted in the penalty. I have to say, it was a great managerial decision!
I was also pleased with the way the crowd got behind us once we had gone a goal behind.
The pitch is certainly hindering us at the moment - although, having said that, we have won 11 games out of the last 12 at home so we must be doing something right!
