Huddersfield Town manager Peter Jackson believes City are capable of springing an FA Cup upset at Newcastle.

Jackson, one of a select number of players who have appeared for both clubs, knows the size of the task facing Town's First Division promotion rivals at St James' Park, but believes all the pressure is on Newcastle.

"Bradford are the form team in all four divisions and must fancy their chances of getting a good result," he said.

"It will be a difficult game for Newcastle. They won't be looking forward to Bradford going to St James' Park.

"If City play well and Newcastle don't play particularly well, Bradford have a great chance of going through.

"They have nothing to lose - all the pressure is on Newcastle. If Bradford get beaten then that is what most people expect, but I cannot see Newcastle doing anything in the league so the FA Cup is their only chance of glory this season and they will be keen to win.

"Bradford are capable of producing a shock. A lot depends on the first 15 to 20 minutes. If City can keep things tight in that spell and weather the storm and get their foot on the game they can do well, but they will find it difficult if Newcastle score an early goal.

"The main thing is that City perform well and a give a good account of themselves not only for their own club and the supporters but for all the First Division. They certainly don't want to be beaten heavily.

"A lot depends how well City cope with Alan Shearer. Then there is Gary Speed, but there are a lot of household names in the Newcastle side.

"I believe if Newcastle play to their potential with every player playing his best City will get beaten because Newcastle are a Premiership team, but there is always a chance they won't play well and then City have a great opportunity."
