A builder has been disqualified from acting as a company director or manager for ten years for his conduct as director of two firms.
Peter William Davis, 47, of Staveley Road, Nab Wood, Shipley, did not contest the disqualification proceedings at Dewsbury County Court.
Mr Davis was director of Oakbank Developments Ltd (Oakbank) - a general building works and shopfitting firm which traded from premises in Nesfield Street, Bradford, and went into voluntary liquidation in October 1994 with estimated debts of £67,863. He was also director of Crystal Clear Design Ltd (Crystal Clear) - which supplied and installed bedroom fittings, traded from Manningham Lane, Bradford, and went into voluntary liquidation in May 1996 with estimated debts of £115,958.
The court considered nine instances of unfit conduct including allegations that Mr Davis caused both companies to continue trading without reasonable prospect of payment to creditors.
