Grattan League Round-Up: Farcliffe United snatched victory with a dramatic last minute goal against Coach and Horses in the Premier Division.
Horses hit back from 2-0 down to draw level only to lose in a thrilling finish which saw Farcliffe miss a penalty before scoring their winner.
Farcliffe established a 2-0 lead by half time, one of their goals coming from the penalty spot, but ten minutes into the second half Charlie White put Coach and Horses back in the game when he outpaced the Farcliffe defence to slot the ball home.
Richard Robinson then equalised from the penalty spot before Farcliffe were also awarded a penalty which goalkeeper Wayne Best saved. With time running out another penalty gave them the win, goals coming from Nadweem Munwar, Manzoor Hussain and Asif Hussain.
Woodend continued their march towards the title with a 4-3 win at Craven. Gavin Collins scored two of Woodend's goals, the others coming from Ray Garland and an own goal. Craig Swain (2) and Simon Killerminster replied for Craven.
Hudsons and U Save DIY fought out a 2-2 draw. Hudsons, with the wind in their favour, went 1-0 up when England scored from 30 yards. They stayed on top for the rest of the first half, but in the second, U Save fought back and levelled through Sean Shullingford who then put them 2-1 in front.
With five minutes left Neil Sutcliffe equalised from the spot.
Mail Coach A maintained their good record against Queensbury, coming from behind to win 4-2. Dave Walsh put Queensbury ahead after five minutes, but man of the match Dave Dickinson equalised for Mail Coach on the half hour. Mail Coach then scored three goals in 15 minutes through Paul Taylor, Andy Malone and Dickinson.
Steve Knowles pulled one back for Queensbury in the second half, but they then had a penalty saved.
North Avenue lost more ground on the top three in the First Division when they lost 4-2 at home to Brook Hansen.
Dave Scott (2), brother Rob Scott and Richard Margerison scored for Brook Hansen.
Jeromes were another side to lose ground after they went down 3-1 at home to leaders Fagley, who had Phil Chapman on target with a hat-trick. Stefan Lytwn put Jeromes ahead after 20 minutes and they dominated the game until Chapman equalised and then put Fagley ahead just before half time.
Second placed Local Hygiene kept up the pressure on Fagley by beating Gallopers 4-0, Tony Quinn (2), Nigel Barraclough and Andrew Wilson their scorers.
