BRACKEN Ghyll Addingham Golf Club played its January Medal in very wet and blustery conditions with over half the entry deciding to opt for the shelter of the clubhouse.
The winner was the new Club Captain Robert Stead who returned 90 (15) 75 in Division One.
John Stones produced the lowest gross with 87 (10) 77 also in Division One and he also won the twos competition.
Third place in Division One went to Mick Tennant with 95 (16) 79.
Division Two was won by Ken Hextall with 105 (24) 81 with George Burrell second with 109 (23) 86.
The Weekday Medal was won by Dave Sidebottom scoring to par despite the conditions to finish with 97 (23) 74.
Stan Fawcett was second with 98 (23) 75 and he also won the twos competition. Third was Mel Davis with the lowest gross with 91 (15) 76.
