A Community Trust which is being set up to work alongside the Keighley Cougars is to launch a Community Sports Leader course next week.
The Trust, which is still to be officially launched has a limited number of places available to coaches and teachers of any sport in the Keighley area on a Community Sports Leader Award course starting next Wednesday, January 27.
The course will run for ten Wednesday afternoons at Shipley College from 2:30 to 5:30 and the cost is a nominal £10.
Trust co-ordinator Keith Reeves said: "It's a great course for anyone involved in coaching any sport at any level across the Community. We have ten members of the Cougars squad taking part as part of a drive to increase the skills of community coaches, and plan to offer range of similar courses to the Keighley sporting community over the next four years.
"The course is a highly valued qualification, and along with lifesaving and first aid is essential for people working in recreation. It's also good fun, and the tutor, Neil Harrison, is a well respected teacher as well as a highly qualified coach"
There are a limited number of places available, anyone wanting to take part should ring Keith Reeves on 0976-894796.
