Big deals in Austria are on offer for Bradford firms who attend a major export event.
A half-day briefing has been set up on Tuesday, April 13 called Europartenariat Austria 1999.
It is being hosted by West Yorkshire Euro Info Centre which is assisted by Bradford Council and takes place at the Business and Innovation Centre in Listerhills, Bradford.
The event, which starts at 10am, aims to provide a taster to the main Europartenariat event which runs twice a year in different European cities. It offers small and medium-sized firms the chance to meet overseas companies who are looking for business partners and contacts.
The 20th event in the Europartenariat series will be held in Vienna in May 1999 and is expected to attract 570 companies.
Coun Tony Cairns, chairman of Bradford Council's economic strategy sub-committee, said: "This free event in Bradford aims to give local firms an idea of the opportunities available to develop business links with a range of European business partners representing different industrial sectors.
"It represents just one of a series of business briefings organised by the Council's European information staff aimed at keeping companies around the district at the forefront of the Single Market."
The Bradford event will include presentations by John Harrison, marketing manager of the British Chambers of Commerce and the Europartenariat Counsellor for England and Wales, and Paul Fuga, the Department of Trade and Industry's Export Promoter for Austria.
