Rugby League: Barrow 21, Keighley 22.

Nathan Antonik was the hero of the hour for the Cougars.

His try two minutes from time saved them from a wretched Easter and was good enough to win any game. He darted past three defenders from 15 metres out to score Cougars' fourth try, Martin Wood landing an easy conversion to give Keighley a victory they just about deserved.

Coach Lee Crooks was far from happy with his team's performance though: "Of course I'm happy we won but we played poorly and got away with it," he said. "I thought on Friday we played reasonably well and got beat. Today we were poor. We have got to learn to do the basics right before we start trying the fancy stuff."

Again Cougars started badly. They gifted Barrow a 14 point lead within the first 16 minutes, letting in soft tries by half backs Taine Manihera and Darren Holt who also converted both as well as landing an early penalty.

But when David Larder was stopped on the Barrow line the home side suddenly looked vulnerable and the Cougars pressed hard. That paid off with Andrew Schick forcing his way over from short range and Matt Foster collecting a high Christian Tyrer cross kick.

Martin Wood added the second conversion and from being down and out the Cougars suddenly were well and truly back in the game at 14-10 at the break.

The second half saw them start badly again when Holt jinked his way through poor defending for his second try. He converted and later added a drop goal to push Barrow nearer the win.

But again Cougars showed great character to edge their way back. Skipper Jason Ramshaw showed real bravery to dive on a Wood kick inches from Barrow's concrete perimeter fence but the clock looked likely to beat them until Antonik came up with the goods.

lDewsbury Rams took charge in the second half to defeat leaders Hull KR 25-14 after the scores had been 6-6 at half time. There was no stopping the Rams after coach Neil Kelly had given them their interval pep talk.

Within minutes of the restart they were ahead. Barry Eaton, making his 100th appearance, landed a penalty goal before Greg Pearse raced over for their second try.

Richard Agar then added a drop goal, Eaton landed another penalty goal and then Paul Evans scored in the corner to put the Rams 19-6 ahead.

Richard Agar bamboozled Rovers as he dummied his way over for the fourth try to which Agar landed his fourth goal.
