Amateur Rugby League: West Bowling and Queensbury look to be racing to the wire in their quest to claim the Pennine Premier Division championship.

Bowling are now two points clear at the top, following Wednesday's win at Clayton, but face four daunting away matches, starting at Lindley Swifts tomorrow, followed by Elland next Wednesday.

The visit to Swifts will not be easy, bearing in mind the 20-18 encounter at Bankfoot in November, when the Huddersfield outfit took Bowling all the way.

Bowling will conduct a head-count prior to the match due to a number of niggling injuries, but Shaun Fallon looks like missing out with concussion.

Queensbury are on a roll following a succession of splendid home wins, and Underbank Rangers should be their next victims.

'Bury are at full strength and this, coupled with the fact that they are set to avoid many of the dreaded midweek matches, makes them well fancied for the title.

Undercliffe have a tough visit to third-placed Park Amateurs. The Halifax side are also well placed, just three points behind leaders West Bowling but with a game in hand.

They had an important home success against Elland in midweek, but Undercliffe will do their Bradford colleagues a mammoth favour if they foil them tomorrow.

Wyke complete their Second Division programme at home to Guiseley Rangers. The visitors badly need the points to claim a promotion spots, but with Joe McGuinness back to lead the side, Wyke will be hoping to spike their guns.

In Division Five, West Bowling B play their last match at Illingworth A.

On Sunday, Victoria Rangers meet Queensbury A in the Hudson and Foster Bradford Cup final at Parry Lane (2pm).
