Dates have been announced for pioneering Produce Markets in Keighley to allow local growers to sell direct the public.
Community groups will be able to run stalls alongside gardeners, farmers and small producers during three market days in Cavendish Court.
The markets will be run by a new group formed to stimulate the local food economy and educate people about food, health and environmental issues.
They will rent stalls to any seller who is actively involved in the production of their food or crafts.
Stallholders must also live within 30 miles of the markets, which are planned for Bradford as well as Keighley.
The Keighley markets are planned for May 22, July 24 and September 25.
Group member Carolyn Lowing says farmers' markets are proving popular across the country because they offer high quality, fresh local produce at reasonable prices.
She adds: "They address issues of rural economic regeneration as well as being environmentally beneficial, and can raise awareness of health issues
"The group is asking local businesses to sponsor the markets by paying for boards promoting their goods and services."
Anyone interested in getting involved should phone Carolyn on 670950 or 210083.
