Oakworth Under-12's A became champions of the Halifax Red League with a storming 6-1 victory over Shelf -- with two games left.
Oaks have gone through the season unbeaten, and have not dropped a point at home. The squad is: Martin Pickard, Robert Hollingsworth, Steven Doane, Simon Wright, Robert Ellis, Jim Whitoock, Ian McNally, Iain Macgregor, Thomas Lonsdale, Nathan Beattie, Jimmy Dourandish and Chris Newman.
Long Lee Under-9's A kept up their recent run of good form with a 4-1 win over Clayton. Adam Spencer got his second hat-trick in two games and Kriss Gott also found the net. Adam Spencer and Nathan Wareham were joint man of the match, but Ravi Patel pushed them closely.
Long Lee Under-9's B beat Clayton Clarets 2-1 with the best team performance of the season. Joe Cavanagh scored both goals and their was a spectacular last minute save from keeper Jonathan Thurlby. The man of the match award went to Hannah Ellis.
Adam Sagar hit a vital winner to give Long Lee Under-11's a 1-0 victory over Skipton. Special praise goes to Sam Wilson and Phil Broadley, but everyone shone in an excellent team performance. Calum Flaherty was man of the match.
Long Lee Under-12's A ensured a 3-1 home victory over Bingley with all their goals coming from man of the match Alister Holdsworth.
Long Lee Under-12's B extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 5-1 victory over Eldwick. An excellent defensive display from man of the match Thomas Abberton provided the platform for two Matthew Langford goals and strikes from Sam Roberts, Stefan Risidi and Mark Leverton.
Eastburn Under-8's played Shelf who took control with an early goal. Eastburn showed great determination, but nevertheless lost the game 4-1 despite their enthusiasm. Joe Ridding scored for Eastburn.
Silsden Under-12's were beaten 4-2 by Burley, despite a fighting performance from the Cobbydale side. Defenders James Moore and man of the match Martin Wooley kept the Burley forwards at bay. Silsden's scorers were James French and Alexander Delmedge. There was a special presentation to Richard Starmer who is moving to Switzerland after over four years with the club, he will be greatly missed.
Silsden Under-10's C beat Eldwick 5-0 and scored all their goals in the first half. Man of the match Tom Hill scored a hat-trick with Nick emblem and Matthew Athersmith also scoring. Chris Oldcorn had an excellent game in midfield with Athersmith showing excellent touches throughout the game.
Silsden Under-11's and Cross Roads produced a superb advert for junior football with 100 per cent effort and only a late goal from Cross Roads settled the game. Ben McClennan had an excellent game in midfield for silsden together with goalkeeper Chris Booth.
Silsden Under-10's A beat Eldwick 6-0 with the Eldwick keeper stopping the score reaching double figures. Andrew North scored a hat-trick, Ross Croad (2) and man of the match Adam McLean completed the scoring with a header. Goalkeeper Jason Perry was also on form together with Hamish Munro and William Maisey in defence.
Silsden Under-10's B powered their way to a 6-1 victory over Eldwick with man of the match Nick Marshall scoring four goals. Striker Scott Greenwood scored the other two goals.
Silsden Under-9's a were out fought as they went down 5-0 to top side, Gomersal. Three players who came out of the game with credit were Richard Wardley, Jack Ogalbe and man of the match Richard Golson.
A spirited performance by Silsden Under-9's B brought a 4-1 victory over Gomersal. Scorers were James Greenway, jack Ogalbe, Ryan Kidney and man of the match Stevie Roberts.
Silsden Under-11's scraped a 3-2 victory despite a below par performance at Burley. Sweeper Alan Drewer was man of the match and goals were scored by Daniel McNulty and Gavin Shearer (2). Silsden need to win all their remaining matches to share the title with Oakworth.
Silsden Under-8's A fought back from an early Otley goal to win 7-1. Sam Ash got the equaliser, Josh Toulmin chipped the keeper and Jonjo Berry scored a hat-trick. Two more goals from Sam Smith completed the scoring. Keiron Lawrence was man of the match.
Silsden Under-8's B swept Otley aside in an 11-0 victory. Goal machine, Danny Whitaker , scored five, man of the match Sean Mackie added four while Mark Bradley and Robert Windle completed the scoring.
Silsden Under-8's C drew 4-4 at Embsay with a hat-trick from Peter Killick and Sam Hill also on target. Chris Austin was man of the match.
Jake Feather scored for Silsden Under-7's as they went down 4-1 to Harden. James Hutchinson was man of the match.
Silsden Under-7's A were beaten 7-0 by Shipley with Oliver Wrigglesworth man of the match. The Under-7's B were beaten 5-0 with Thomas Cunningham named man of the match while Josha Banks also played well.
Man of the match Ben Stand scored for Silsden's Under-7's as they were beaten 8-1 by Shipley. Thomas Lohan and Andrew Cairns also played well.
Silsden Under-7's B were beaten 7-0 by Shipley with Bradley Dobson man of the match and Jake Waddington also played well.
Oakworth Under-7's went down 2-1 to Gomersal despite dominating the opening period and scoring the only goal through Ben Lamb. Joshua Isherwood, George Turner and Lamb set up more chances after the break, but the visitors were steadier in front of goal and made Oakworth pay.
Oakworth Under-9's A lost 4-0 to Bolton Woods. man of the match Scott hartley worked hard in defence where goalkeeper Joe Hall made some fine saves to keep the score down.
Oakworth Under-9's B played some attractive football at Bolton Woods and were unlucky to come away with a goalless draw. man of the match Adam Smallwood worked tirelessly in midfield and Duncan Aitchison was dominant at the back, with strikers Thomas Thompson and Adam Marks always a threat.
Oakworth Under-9's C got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at Harden. Robert Ambler had some fine touches and was on hand to score the decisive goal. Paul Owens was a constant menace up front, but it was Sam Wardley who snatched the man of the match award.
Silsden Under-16's started slowly bvefore clicking into gear with a 3-0 victory over Salts. Adam Whiteoak opened the scoring with a poacher's goal as Silsden played their best football of the season, he added a second when he flicked the ball past a defender and used his pace to get into the box and beat the advancing keeper from 10 yards. But the best goal came after Liam Houldsworth played out of defence to Blacka who found Domonique Creed on the left. Creed's neat flick found Richard Campbell who played a lovely one-two with Whiteoak and crossed for Ian Craven to score. Houldsworth was man of the match.
Long Lee Under-8's A beat Gomersal 2-1 with a fine team performance after a long lay off. Patrick King and man of the match Joe Park were on target.
A below par performance saw Long Lee Under-8's B beaten 2-0 by Gomersal. James Sutcliffe and Luke Anlezark were star men for Long Lee.
Long Lee Under-7's went down 2-0 in a hard fought game at Weston Lane. The Under-7's B team recorded a 4-0 victory with goals from Shaun Quinlan, Joseph Mitchell (2) and Joshua.
Haworth Under-12's lost 7-1 at home to Cowling. Their consolation goal came from Sam Coates.
