A group of disabled children are set to go on holiday, despite a vandal attack which threatened to ruin the plans.
Vandals destroyed £3,000 worth of outdoor equipment in the raid at the Chapel Grange School in Rhodesway, Allerton, Bradford.
But the holiday will go ahead, thanks to Telegraph & Argus readers.
A 16-year-old pupil with Downs Syndrome, whose beloved tricycle was wrecked in the attack, is also in line for a replacement. But there was a blow for another special school in the city whose pupils will be class-bound after their minibus was stolen.
Offers have flooded in to Chapel Grange School after the T&A revealed yesterday that £3,000 of outdoor pursuits equipment for climbing, canoeing, skiing, hiking and sailing had been smashed.
The wrecking spree threatened to scupper an activity holiday in the Lake District in two weeks. But the Guide Association have stepped in and offered a loan of equipment for the youngsters.
Christine Simpson, outdoor activities adviser for the organisation, said: "My first thought was disgust. Then I thought: what can we do to help?"
The school was delighted, said Susan Nield, special needs assistant.
Tim Lambert, whose tricycle was wrecked in the attack, was also given some goods news by Carol Moss, of Leyfleaks Road, Idle, who has offered to give the teenager her own trike. A firm in Halifax has also offered to repair it for free.
Meanwhile in Odsal, thieves have stolen the only means of transport for children at Netherlands Avenue Special School. The minibus, which was bought with money from Children in Need and the Friends of Netherland Avenue group, was discovered missing this morning.
Headteacher Wendy Paler said the white Leyland Daf, registration number H494 WHD, had the huge Pudsey Bear logo emblazened on the side and was clearly a gift from the charity.
She said: "It's absolutely sickening. You wouldn't have thought anybody would steal something with a big Pudsey Bear on the side."
The bus was used everyday for swimming trips and visits.
