Not even a second half stoppage for a blizzard could halt Guiseley's progress in last night's UniBond League Challenge Cup semi-final at Blyth Spartans.
Cruising at 2-0 up after an hour, the visitors feared the worst as conditions deteriorated. The referee took the players off, but volunteers swept the lines before play continued.
Stewart Airdrie fired the visitors in front after 38 minutes, and was also involved in the 70th-minute strike that made the game safe. His threaded pass found scorer Julian Wilkes.
Guiseley's opponents will be either Premier Division rivals Stalybridge Celtic or Division One promotion contenders Hucknall Town. They drew 1-1 at Stalybridge.
Liversedge's bid for runners-up spot in the Northern Counties East Premier Division is still on after they won 4-2 at relegation-threatened Pickering Town.
Dave Thomas, Andy O'Flaherty, skipper Mick Carter and Paul Murphy were on target for the visitors. Mark Wood and a Paul Sweeney own goal replied.
Farsley Celtic's run of games without a win in UniBond Division One reached 11, but they did draw at sixth-placed Eastwood Town. Robbie Whellans gave them the lead, but the home side hit back in a 1-1 draw.
In the same division, Bradford Park Avenue host third-placed Ashton United tonight. Thackley travel to Hallam in the Northern Counties East Premier Division.
