Long Lee Under-9's A lost their last game of the season to Bingley. The game was evenly balanced at half time with the score locked at 2-2, but Bingley ran out 7-2 winners. Kris Gott and man of the match Declan King netted for Long Lee. Manager Graham Everett said: "The lads have shown tremendous effort throughout the season and there has been superb support from the parents and our sponsors Keighley Lions and Darren King Plant Hire."
Long Lee Under-9's B lost 5-1 to Bingley despite an impressive second half performance. Their goal was a spectacular 20-yard shot from Sean Everett and man of the match was goalkeeper Jonathan Thurlby.
Oxenhope Under-14's are proving to be the scourge of Skipton LMS after having beaten the LMS A squad at home and away, and eliminating them from the cup, Oxenhope have now completed the double over Skipton B team, winning 6-2 at home on Sunday with goals from Paul Drury (3), Joe Anderton, Ben White, and Ben Judson. Paul Drury was man of the match.
Long Lee Under-15's clinched the league title with a win over Thackley on Sunday. It was not their best performance of the season, but Long Lee dug deep for the two points they needed. Matthew Cresswell scored from the penalty spot when they were 2-0 down and converted a cross for his second goal, which was the match winner. Matthew Green also scored and Tim Hird was man of the match.
Silsden Under-10's A needed to win to stay in top spot, but could only manage a 0-0 draw against Shelf which handed the title to rivals Wyke who won at Bolton Woods. By the time the team starts in the Craven League Under-11's they will have played two seasons and only lost one game, but too many draws cost them the chance of a trophy this year with 14 victories and six draws from their 20 games. Man of the match was Sam Dowgill, well supported by Andrew North and Hamish Munro.
Silsden Under-10's B went down to their first defeat of the season, beaten 4-2 by Shelf to leave them in runners-up spot behind Shelf. Adam Wilkinson scored a 15-yard thunderbolt and Scott Greenwood added the second from outside the penalty area. Clark Greenwood was man of the match.
Man of the match Chris Oldcorn scored the only goal for Silsden Under-10's C in their 1-1 draw with Shelf. he was well supported by Matthew Athersmith, Tom Hill and goalkeeper Scott Wilson.
An excellent performance from Silsden Under-8's A gave them a 2-0 victory at Wilsden. Sam Ash and Lee Thompson scored brilliant goals and Josh Toulmin as man of the match.
Silsden Under-8's C beat Wilsden Wilsden 6-1 with man of the match Peter Killick scoring five goals, Jordan Halliday was also on target.
Silsden Under-11's beat Trawden 7-3 with Gavin Shearer scoring four goals, James Holden (2) and Nick McNally also on target.
Silsden Under-11's beat Earby Colts 3-1 thanks to goals from Chris Sutcliffe (2) and Chris Page. Daniel McNulty was man of the match.
Long Lee Under-8's B reversed last week's defeat by Nab Wood with a narrow 2-1 victory. Goals from Jack Moorby and Chris Marshall with star man Daniel Moses.
Oakworth Under-13's, fresh from last week's successful trip to the Coca Cola International Football Tournament in Haarlem, Holland, converted the team spirit fostered by their continental experience into attacking football with a Brazilian flair as they demolished Silsden 11-2. Two goals each for Jack Simpson, Steve Davies, Mark Hawker and Liam Blacka plus single strikes from Chris Parker, Thomas Woodward and a magnificent effort from Matthew Everard saw the goals raining in from all sections of the team.
Oakworth Under-7's battled hard, but lost 4-0 to Menston. Midfielders Ben Lamb and George Turner both went close but it was Joshua Isherwood with some excellent runs, and Joseph Alvey with his hard tackling who were the pick for Oaks.
Oakworth Under-8's went down 4-0 to Shipley. Daniel Hurd put in his usual non-stop display while Harry Walkenden was again prominent at the back.
Oakworth Under-9's C drew 1-1 with Cross roads. robert Ambler opened the scoring for Oaks in t he second half, Andrew Golding was man of the match and Sam Wardley defended heroically until Cross Roads equalised in the final minute.
Oakworth Under-9's A lost twice in a week, firstly going down 6-0 to Gomersal and then losing 6-2 to Menston. Man of the match Thomas Clark had some fine touches and was rewarded with both goals in the second match.
Oakworth Under-9's B beat gomersal 5-1 with goals from Glen Wallbank (2), Thomas Clark (2) and Adam Marks. Oaks then lost a game they totally dominated, going down 2-1 to Menston. After taking the lead through Adam Marks the Oaks were stung by two breakaway goals each side of the break.
Bracken Bank Under-8's drew 1-1 with Gomersal and took the lead with an Aaron Stack goal. Michael Pearson was man of the match and Martin Clough made some excellent saves in goal. On Sunday Bracken played Shelf and came away with another 1-1 draw, Sam Rooke scored the goal and Gary Morphet was man of the match.
Haworth Under-12's beat Oakworth Under-12's 5-3 in a close game. John Daniels played well for Haworth in goal and was named man of the match. Goalscorers were Sam Coates (3), Patrick Roche and Mark Littlewood.
After losing 2-1 to Sandy Lane with a depleted midweek team -- their first league defeat since October 1996 -- Silsden bounced back to produce one of their best performances of the season to beat Oaklee 4-0. The defence restricted Oaks to long range shots in a goalless first half and with t he wind at their backs Silsden dominated the second period.
Ian Craven scored the opener and added the second. After a string of chances it was Craven again who grabbed the third. Five minutes from time Mark Exley was brought down in the penalty box and neatly converted the spot kick.
Craven was named man of the match for his superb hat-trick with other great performances from Gavin Baluk, Blacka, Chris Simpson, Liam Houldsworth and Usman Shazad.
Silsden's next home game is against Sandy Lane A on April 25, with their cup final scheduled for Tuesday, April 27 at Marley Stadium.
