Keighley people were given the chance to have their antiques and curios inspected at the town's rugby union club on Wednesday night.
More than £450 was collected from the event, organised by Keighley Rotary Club, which will go towards buying a mobile drugs-prevention classroom. During the evening Andrew Hartley - who has salerooms at Ilkley - used a selection of the goods brought along to illustrate a talk on antiques.
Club member Paul Milling says: "It was a very successful evening. Everyone enjoyed themselves. There were around 100 antiques and curios."
Members are joining their Bingley counterparts in launching a fundraising campaign in which £55,000 is needed for the Life Education Centre, a charity backed through donations and sponsorship. The unit would be used at schools throughout the district, providing health education and drug-prevention programmes.
On May 14-15 the club holds a trolley dash at the Keighley branch of Sainsbury's. To buy tickets, or for details, contact Mr Milling on 01535 605646.
