American tour operators are queuing-up to come to Brontland.

A staggering 100-or-so United States representatives at a top travel fair registered their interest.

Acting Bront Country Tourism (BCT) manager Debbie Hopkinson, who manned a stall at the two-day British Travel Trade Fair in Birmingham, says the operators were all keen to link up with BCT to develop itineraries and group rates for holiday packages.

There was also substantial interest from operators in Latin America, Peru, Mexico, Columbia, Argentina and Singapore.

Among the VIP visitors to the BCT stand was Tim Bartlett, chief executive of the English Tourist Board. He is pictured above with Debbie, left, and Lucy Goulton, of the Five Flags Hotel at Cullingworth, wearing a unique wedding dress made entirely from carrier bags some of which were provided by BCT members.
