Nurses at Airedale Hospital are joining a national campaign to ensure that people in the area don't die from embarrassment. Bowel Cancer is second only to lung cancer as one of the UK's biggest killers with approximately 341 people dying every week. Yet for many it is still a taboo subject. Airedale's coloproctology specialist nurses Jean Ross and Lynn Lomas are joining forces with the charity Colon Cancer Concern to hopefully save lives. As part of National Bowel Cancer Week (April 26 - May 2) they will be organising a display in the Outpatients department at Airedale.
