England under-21 midfield player Kieron Dyer is set to play his first full match for seven weeks for Bradford City's promotion rivals Ipswich against Stockport County at Portman Road tonight.

The match, which will be shown live on Sky TV, is the one Ipswich have in hand on City and a win or draw would see them leapfrog over the Bantams into second place.

Dyer, regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in English football, broke his fibula in Ipswich's home match against Watford on March 2, but he made a surprise comeback as a second-half substitute in their 2-0 defeat at Bolton on Saturday.

Now, he is set to replace Dutch midfield player Bobby Petta who returned to the side at Bolton, but had to retire at half-time with an ankle injury.

Dyer, who had not even been considered fit to play in the reserves the week before, came off the bench and played all the second half in place of Petta.

Ipswich are expected to be without Dutch full back Fabian Wilmis, who has pulled his hamstring. His absence at Bolton meant that Mick Stockwell dropped back to wing back with Petta returning in midfield.
