In-form Bradford Bulls prop Paul Anderson is keen to help exact revenge on his old club Halifax at Odsal on Friday.

Anderson was on the sidelines recovering from knee ligament damage as the Blue Sox completed a Super League double last season.

Their neighbours were also the only side to defeat them on their own patch in the inaugural Super League season and the Bulls three wins in their six meetings in the competition have all been by four points or less.

Anderson says: "It will be another tough physical battle like all the rest but one I always looked forward to.

"They had a great win over Wigan but we were pretty happy with the performance at Warr-ington and feel we can build on that," said Anderson who has made some devastating bursts in recent matches. "I feel my fitness is steadily coming but I'm not quite there yet," he added.

The Bulls are still waiting to hear the results of checks on second-rower Bernard Dwyer who damaged his knee at Wilderspool on Sunday but he is considered doubtful for the derby.

Jeremy Donougher could be set for a recall after an impressive two-try show for the Alliance side at the weekend.
