Bradford Bulls' tackling machine Bernard Dwyer will sit out tomorrow night's derby battle with Halifax Blue Sox.
A scan on his injured knee has revealed nothing too serious but with ten days before the visit to Castleford on Bank Holiday Monday coach Matthew Elliott feels the extra rest will aid his recovery.
But it is still another blow for Dwyer who has had another stop-start season so far.
There is further disruption to the back-row with Aussie David Boyle pencilled in to partner Paul Deacon at half-back in the absence of the Paul brothers.
It signals a recall for Steve McNamara at loose forward with Jeremy Donougher, Warren Jowitt or possibly Stuart Fielden partnering Mike Forshaw in the second-row.
Neil Harmon is also added to the squad after being omitted for the win at Warrington last Sunday.
Tomorrow's scheduled Academy game against the Blue Sox has been postponed to protect the Odsal pitch after recent heavy rain.
