Embsay 1 Grassington 0
This was a typically nervous final at Gargrave on Friday and Grassington will look back on missed chances that cost them dear as Embsay went on to lift the cup.
The Dalesmen chased and hustled their opponents out of their stride and then in the second half they took control and created chances.
But good keeping by Chris Beck and luck kept them out and Grassington keeper Jason Waddington also produced two fine saves.
The Dalesmen missed an open goal, put the ball over the bar and hit also hit it and their top scorer Adam Steventon went past two defenders and the keeper and then hit the side netting.
But by the end of normal time Grassington had run themselves into the ground and extra time saw Embsay take control and they finally broke the deadlock with a Steve Speak header in the first period.
Grassington had no answer to this and Embsay took victory.
The man of the match award went to Grassington captain David Daggett and Stuart Christie and Stephen Dean also stood out for the Dalesmen.
For Embsay Wally Robertson had a great game winning everything in the air in defence and Paul Stott made his mark with attacking runs from the back.
The cup and individual mementoes were presented by Janine Sawden, of Skipton Building Society.
