A FINE bowling spell by Bradford Bulls coach Matthew Elliott, who took 4-40 in 15 impressive overs, helped Bramhope restrict Walton to 146-6.
In reply a sound opening stand of 46 between Martin Ashworth (43) and John Lawson (19) laid the foundations and this was followed by a scintillating innings from Andrew Harrison, who scored an unbeaten 47 on this difficult wicket, supported by Matthew Elliott (23 not out) as Bramhope reached 147-3 to win comfortably.
The second team struggled against Kirk Hammerton, who reached an impressive 208-8 in their overs, with Brian Viner taking 6-66 in 23 overs.
In reply Bramhope struggled against some tight bowling, only managing 162-4 in reply. Opener Steve Knight scored 78 not out.
On Saturday the first team entertain Amaranth while the second team travel to Saxton.
