The future of popular Bulls centre Danny Peacock remains in the balance today after suffering more injury on his troublesome right knee.
Scans revealed no further ligament damage but there was still no news on his long term future as he recovered from a cartilage operation.
"Danny has had his cartilage trimmed and it went well. He could be available again sooner than some people expect," said coach Matthew Elliott.
The good news is that he visited training again yesterday and was soon cheering everyone up. That is the sort of character he is."
But Elliott stressed that it was still far too early to access his long term prospects.
"Danny needs some breathing space at the moment and we will be giving him all the time he needs."
The 31-year-old Queenslander missed a large part of last season after suffering cruciate ligament damage during the clash with London at Odsal last May.
After a lengthy rehabilitation he made his comeback against Wakefield in the Challenge Cup in February and had played in all but one of the games since.
But he was carried off on a stretcher in the draw at Castleford on Monday after falling awkwardly to raise doubts over his long term future.
