Historic aeroplanes from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be the highest highlight of Haworth's wartime weekend.
The village will go back to the 1940s on May 15 and 16 for a host of activities to entertain residents and visitors.
The Memorial Flight will send some of its aircraft, which could include a Spitfire or Lancaster, to fly over the village at 1.30pm on the Saturday. The day also features British and American military vehicles, shopkeepers in period dress, musicians and a Home Guard unit. The Sunday features an 11.30am parade of 40s vehicles including a tank, a mock 40s wedding, an air-raid demonstration and 40s music.
A 1940s dance on Saturday evening has been moved to Haworth Community Centre on Butt Lane. The event features dancing to 20-piece swing band Nytebeat and a jitterbug demonstration by UK champions GI Jivers.
Tickets for the dance are available from Michael Snowden on 01535 643214. Ticket-holders are asked to wear period costumes.
