Police are hunting a gang of thugs who attacked a teenage diner at a Keighley restaurant.
The 18-year-old woman was left badly shaken after being punched in the face during an apparently unprovoked attack at The Sanam restaurant on High Street at 2.30am on Saturday.
Sgt Allan Gee, of Keighley police, says: "She was in there with a friend and had sat at a table and ordered a meal when four other people sitting at a nearby table started to be verbally abusive to her. One of them approached her and punched her in the face, and the three others then joined in the attack.
"It was a nasty and apparently unprovoked attack on a young woman in a restaurant.
"We'd obviously like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or can shed any light on the identity of the suspects."
The man who led the attack is described as white, aged in his late 30s, 6ft and slim with mousey blond hair and a moustache. He was wearing jeans and a light blue shirt.
Police are also looking for a man and woman of Asian background and a white girl.
The man of Asian heritage was in his early 20s, slim and 5ft 8in with dark hair - shaved at the sides and tied in a pony tail - and dressed in a turquoise shirt and black trousers.
The woman - aged in her early 30s, 5ft 7in and slim with dark shoulder-length hair - was wearing a short black dress with a flowered pattern.
The white girl is described as 5ft with her dark hair tied in a pony tail.
Thieves have taken a van belonging to Keighley's meals on wheels service - for the second time in a year. The Suzuki Supercarry - which was used to transport around 25 meals a day in the Worth Valley - was stolen from outside the driver's house at Oxenhope.
The theft comes almost exactly 12 months after the van's sister vehicle was taken.
Meals on wheels provides a lifeline to elderly and vulnerable people, delivering around 800 meals a week in the Keighley district. The organisation, a registered charity, is funded through a social services grant.
Coordinator Susan Gledhill says the latest theft is a huge blow to the service. She told us: "Fortunately we have managed to secure temporarily on loan a vehicle from Bradford Commu-nity Transport, so at least we can maintain deliveries, but the theft has caused us major problems. It hits us in two ways - the insurance pay out will not meet the cost of a new van, and we will lose our no-claims bonus. This will mean us having to find extra money which, frankly, we don't have.
"It sickens me that anyone would take the van - it was obvious from the markings what it was used for. For this to happen twice is just devastating."
The van - worth about £3,500 - was bought five years ago. It was one of four operated by Keighley's meals on wheels service. Its registration number is L204 JCX.
A thief dropped his haul and ran off into Keighley's Victoria Park after being challenged by a security guard outside Ondura, in Alston Road, on Tuesday evening.
The man had stolen a rucksack after climbing over a wall at Ondura and entering a portable cabin. But he fled empty-handed after being challenged by a guard from neighbouring Magnet.
The suspect is described as white, 5ft 7in, slim with short fair hair. He was wearing a lime green Adidas top and dark Adidas tracksuit bottoms.
