Brian Noble writes: It was a pretty pleasing effort all round. We have a very healthy changing room and there were some very positive things out there.
Sometimes we got the go forward right and sometimes the fringes and when we put it together we managed to come up with 46 points and defensively we looked completely in control.
It has been well documented the problems Salford have had so we focused on ourselves this week and did the things we had to do.
Stuart Spruce was the man of the match by a country mile. He carried the ball strongly and one of his catches in the second half was superb. He was outstanding and he has been like that all year really. I just hope the Great Britain selectors take notice he has been excellent going forward and in defence and he is a big influence now with his talking from the back.
I think the referee got sick and tired of blowing his whistle for Salford holding us down which enabled them to stifle us a little bit.
