The future of a Bradford firm thrown in doubt with the death of its boss in a plane crash has been safeguarded.
Businessman Gerry Davitt, 42, who ran the Side Curtain Centre at the Napoleon Business Park off Wakefield Road, Bradford, was one of four people who died in the crash near Selby two weeks ago.
He had saved the business, which employs ten people, from closure earlier this year when he stepped in to take over the firm he originally set up about ten years ago and later sold.
Now his widow Christine is set to take over running of the company in accordance with his wishes.
Supervisor Jason French said staff were very pleased their positions had been safeguarded.
"Christine is carrying on - that's what Gerry would have wanted," he said.
"Everyone is happy they're keeping their jobs. We're going to see how things are going to go but at the moment things are looking up. Gerry left the company in a very good position."
An inquest into Mr Davitt's death was opened and adjourned on Wednesday pending a full report into the accident by a team of inspectors from the Air Accident Investigation Branch of the Department of the Environment who are examining the wreckage.
