THE jobs of 100 workers at Guiseley pram firm Silver Cross still hang in the balance today.
Workers at the firm have to wait a few more days before a decision about the company is made by a judge.
This week the Otley Road firm's bosses appeared in court in Leeds calling for an administration order to be granted.
This would have allowed the firm to be placed in the hands of administrative receivers, but work can only begin again if a buyer is found for the company.
Bosses were hoping for a quick decision from the judge but the judgment has been delayed.
Now a second set of emergency meetings is being held with a number of people interested in buying the company as the directors wait for the judge's decision.
One of them is believed to be a well-known business person from West Yorkshire, and another is understood to be an Ilkley-based organisation.
A spokeswoman for the company said: "The directors are currently in talks with their legal advisers and a further statement will be issued in the next few days following the outcome of the judge's ruling.
"Several interested parties are also involved in the current talks. One of the companies that is looking is certainly an Ilkley-based organisation."
Last August Harry Moore, the firm's managing director and Sara Bird, its sales and marketing director, won a £4 million re-financing package to keep the firm going.
At that time the White Cross company employed nearly 200 workers and was hoping sales of its top-of-the-range prams and pushchairs would begin to take off.
Directors of the 122-year-old firm, which has made prams for Royalty, pop and film stars, have been trying to find a buyer for the company or work out a further re-financing package for a number of weeks.
The company has been a major employer in Guiseley for more than 70 years after it moved from Leeds where it was founded.
