Green-fingered residents in two picturesque villages are to open up their "secret" gardens for the Millennium.
It's three years since the gardens of Kildwick and Farnhill were last open to the public but now the garden open day on June 27 is bigger and better - and back by popular demand.
And one of the stars of the day will be the famous Jacobean walled garden at Kildwick Hall, where the Currer family and the Bronte sisters used to take in the view over the Aire Valley.
Last time the gardens of the two villages were opened to the public, thousands enjoyed the tour, raising over £4,000 for charity. Since then, organisers have been inundated with calls from all over the North, asking for a repeat performance.
The cash raised will go to the Kildwick and Farnhill Millennium Celebrations Fund.
On the day 14 gardens will be open from 2pm until 6pm and a mini-bus service will help people get about. Various stalls are planned with strawberry teas and raffles, along with cake stalls, plant stalls and a raffle.
Entry is by ticket only - £2 for adults and £1 for children - available in advance from Farnhill Village Store or on the day tickets and maps will be available from the parish rooms at the rear entrance of Kildwick parish church.
