Pace Micro Technology is to create a team to focus on the long -term development of technology which has put the firm at the leading edge of the international digital broadcast market.
The new Technology and Strategic Development team will be led by the company's director of engineering networks Andy Trott and will combine engineers and business analysts in a single unit.
The team will concentrate on the identification of new product opportunities and the creation of new strategic relationships through Pace's international markets.
Pace's team of over 250 product development engineers will now combine under the leadership of director of engineering Tim Fern.

"This market is highly competitive and developing at a phenomenal rate. The creation of our new team will enable us to work even more closely with broadcast customers and silicon providers to develop the innovative and income generating solutions made possible through the revolution and convergence of digital and communications technology."
Andy Trott added: "Technology is constantly expanding the boundaries of what is possible and with my new team we will identify and focus on concepts that are important to Broadcasters and take Pace way into the new Millennium.''
