Keighley Cougars have confirmed Frank Punchard's appointment as coach until the end of the season.
The former Alliance team boss had been in charge of the side since Lee Crooks dismissal a month ago and won the board's approval after three successive victories.
Punchard said: "Obviously I am delighted and I would like to thank the players for everything they have done and the way they have responded to me.
"I was told last night and I know the players are happy that a decision has been made. We can now concentrate fully on facing Workington on Sunday and trying to maintain our run."
Cougars skipper Jason Ramshaw said: "The players have been very professional throughout the last month. We have proved we are all really behind Frank and everyone believes the right decision has been made."
