Bantams chief Geoffrey Richmond writes open letter in praise of the fans:
Dear Bradford city Supporters,
The T & A have been kind enough to allow me to publicly thank everybody within the city for the support that has been given to the Club.
It is an extremely humbling experience to speak to life-long supporters who express just what Bradford City's elevation to the Premier League means to them. Many tell me their only regret is that a previous generation had not lived to see the day.
I cannot put into words the thanks which I feel to the tidal wave of happiness that our promotion has triggered. Long into the future myself and my family will look back upon the past few days with a tear of happiness in our eyes and an overwhelming feeling of humility at the affect the promotion has made to the way that people within the city feel.
My special thanks go to my fellow directors, associate directors, Paul Jewell and his football staff, the players, the full-time, part-time and matchday staff, the Club sponsors, to everybody in the city, the T & A for their Only Way is Up campaign, especially to David Markham and Richard Sutcliffe, Radio Leeds, Bantams Radio and all the other media, and most of all to our supporters, without whom none of the past five years would have been possible.
We have many battles ahead, but for the moment, let us bask in the sunshine and enjoy our success.
Geoffrey Richmond, Bradford City Chairman
