A climber was taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle after falling from a cliff face on Shipley Glen.
The 32-year-old man and a group of friends were climbing near Baildon's Bracken Hall Countryside Centre when he fell just before 1pm yesterday.
The man's friends rushed to the nearby centre to alert the emergency services.
Sub Officer Don Moore said the man had fallen between 12 and 15ft, adding: "We walked down to him and helped the ambulance crew get him on to a stretcher and then carried him back up.
"It was fairly easy to get down to him, athough it was over a bit of rough ground.
"He was fine in himself. He didn't seem to be in a great deal of pain and was having a laugh and joke with us about what happened. He seemed to accept this sort of thing can happen."
An ambulance took the man to Bradford Royal Infirmary, where he was treated.
