The new chairman of Ilkley Parish Council has revealed a hit list of priority targets for the next year.
Councillor Kate Brown (Con, Ilkley West) succeeded Coun Alec Henderson at the annual meeting of the parish council.
She said the council would be looking at key issues such as: long-stay parking; the continuation of the parish council's anti litter campaign; the provision of in-line skating facilities for youngsters and the UDP review.
It would also be examining planning issues such as the future of the Middleton Hospital site; the Grove Hospital site and Scalebor Park in Burley-in-Wharfedale.
Coun Brown said education would be a big area of change in the months ahead. She hoped the schools review would be as smooth as possible for all concerned and that Ilkley's desire for further education facilities would be met.
Coun Brown said crime, wheelie bins and the Millennium were also important issues.
