HILL CLIMB ace Bobby Fryers has been breaking records at the Harewood track.

Bobby, who lives in Bradley, has been remarkably consistent in his Renault Clio Williams over the past couple of seasons, and this year has set new record times at both events.

He is currently lying in second place in Harewood's overall championships.

n Dougie Lampkin suffered his first defeat in an outdoor trial this year when he lost the Stelvio Trophy to his cousin, Ben Hemingway on home ground at Addingham Moorside at the weekend.

The whole Lampkin family were in action with Dougie, Harry and James backed up by their cousins Ben and Dan Hemingway.

The World Champion also took time out to give help and advice to the youngest riders, aged from 6-8 years, in the TY 80cc class.

n Silsden based Formula 1 Stock Car world champion Frankie Wainman jnr won two races and gained maximum qualifying points for this year's world championship.

In the first heat he pushed past the early leaders to head the field just a few laps from home.

He was at the back of the grid for the final and picked his way through the field to be in third place by the half way flag, He took top spot only five laps from home and fought off pressure from Murray Harrison who was just two car lengths behind at the chequered flag.
