PHOENIX secured a superb third place in the Premier Division with a 1-0 win over Marsden last weekend.
The Keighley side went close early on when a cross from Stephen Lister dound Michael Gilmartin, whose header beat the keeper, but was cleared off the line.
Phoenix took the lead when martin Ross was fouled in the penalty area, and he stepped up to score from the spot.
Marsden played some attractive attacking football and were unlucky not to come away with at least a point, but keeper Paul Linyard was on fine form, making three excellent saves in the secondhalf to keep Phoenix ahead.
Ross could have increased his tally, but he headed over agter Gilmartin beat two defenders and crossed from the left.
Phoenix play their final game of the season at home to Fields tomorrow (Saturday) and hope to finish with a win. The match kicks off at 2.30pm at Marley.
