Addingham'S batsmen set a new league record score for the highest innings when they rattled up 378-5 against beleagured Horsforth on Saturday. Addingham's score smashed the previous record of 338-7 for 50 overs which was ironically set by Horsforth against Knaresborough in 1990.
Openers Steve May (69) and Darrell Robinson (105) shared a stand of 157 with Robinson playing the leading role. He was first man out and then May and Phil Sant, who made 104, shared a second wicket stand of 94.
K Lilley stuck to his task for Horsforth taking 4-116 in 16 overs.
Horsforth thwarted all Addingham's attempts to get them out finishing with 90-2 with opener M Taylor leading the stubborn resistence with 56.
Former Otley batsman Sean Atkinson hammered a superb unbeaten 144 for Skipton as they knocked off the Collingham score of 244-6 with just two wickets down. He and opener Mark Whitaker (62) shared a second wicket stand of 133.
A 5-38 return from Knaresborough's Steve Booth, which included a hat-trick, halted Beckwithshaw's victory charge.
Knaresborough had set a score of 143 and Beckwithshaw were on target at 122-6 when Booth struck with his hat-trick and ended their victory hopes. They did however manage to hang on for a draw.
Rawdon had a narrow one wicket win over Calverley with Aussie Andrew Sugars the man of the moment. He took 4-58 off 24 overs and then when Rawdson were struggling hit an unbeaten 26 to see his side home.
Despite fine efforts from openers Peter Kempton (44) and Martin Culley (41) Hall Park fell well short of the target of 189-8 set for them by North Leeds and had to settle for a draw.
Champions Adel showed some of their best form at Guiseley where they restricted the home side to 117 all out with slow left armer Richard Ewen taking 4-16. After losing Ian Jones without scoring Mark Whitehead (67 no) and David Standring (47) led the victory charge.
James Dracup, who has returned to the area, stepped out for Menston but made only five as they chased a Tong Park score of 223-8 of which opener Shane Battock made 101. Menston went on to win by two wickets with opener Andrew Haslett making 73. James Robinson contributed 48.
