Almost 800 air cadets from across Yorkshire, including 2431 Keighley squadron, marched through the streets of Wakefield at the weekend. It was part of a formal parade and service to mark the formation of the newly created South and West Yorkshire Wing of the Air Training Corps. The new Wing is now called Super Wing - a grouping of 38 individual Squadrons.
The head of the new wing will be Wing Commander Roger Moss and he said: "The parade celebrated the formation of the new Wing and allowed us to officially dedicate a new wing banner at special service in Wakefield Cathedral. The whole event was the largest of its kind to be held in the north of England for several decades".
