The Ingrow-based Vintage Carriages Trust has been highly commended in a top tourism awards scheme.
The trust, which operates a popular railway carriages museum, received the accolade in the Yorkshire Tourist Board's White Rose Awards. The Coniston Hall Lodge and Restaurant at Coniston Cold won the award for best newcomer to tourism. Keighley architects Gelder and Kitchen and accountants Horwath, Clarke and Whitehill were major players behind the hotel project. A presentation evening was held at the National Railway Museum in York.
David Andrews, for the Yorkshire Tourist Board, says: "This year's winners are splendid examples of excellence in each of their individual categories and I would like to congratulate them all on their success."
