An improved bus service from Ilkley to Grassington and Buckden has been launched.
On Sundays, the Wharfedale Wanderer service is part of the Dalesbus network. It will run, approximately hourly, from Ilkley via Bolton Abbey to Grassington, Kettlewell and Buckden. The first bus leaves Ilkley Brook Street every Sunday until October 31 at 8.50am.
A new weekday service from Ilkley to Grassington and Buckden starts on June 1 and will run all year.
This service is operated by Pride of the Yorkshire Dales and is subsidised by North Yorkshire County Council using the government's Rural Bus Grant.
Traditional Dalesbus services from Ilkley to Hawes are also running again this year, with departures from Ilkley Brook Street at 9.10am on Tuesdays (an hour later in the summer school holidays), 10.40am on Saturdays and 10.25am on Sundays.
Otley rejoins the Dalesbus network this weekend with a summer Sunday bus service to Pateley Bridge and Ripon. Dalesbus service 802 leaves Otley Bus Station at 10am every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until October 31.
The bus runs to Masham via Fewston, Blubberhouses, Pateley Bridge, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Ripon. Return from Masham is at 3.58pm, and from Pateley Bridge at 5.15pm. At Pateley Bridge connections can be made with Dalesbus service 24 to Grassington.
