Hooker James Lowes is the latest withdrawal from the Bulls side to face arch rivals Leeds Rhinos in the Tetley Bitter Challenge at Headingley on Boxing Day.
He suffered a back injury on the Tri-Series tour with Great Britain Down Under at the end of the season and is being given further time to recover.
It gives youngster Gareth Stanley his first chance at senior level and there are also chances on the wings for teenagers Alex Wilkinson and Nicky Johnson.
As expected youngster Paul Sykes comes in at full-back for Stuart Spruce who is recovering from shoulder trouble.
New senior squad members Rob Parker, Gareth Handford and Craig McDowell are on the bench along with new Aussie recruit Hudson Smith.
Bulls: Sykes; Wilkinson, Brooker, McAvoy, Johnson; Pryce, R Paul; McDermott, Stanley, Harmon, Radford, Peacock, Forshaw. Subs: Smith, Parker, Handford, McDowell.
