Smallholdings on the St Ives estate could come together to sell their wares to supermarket chains and other big food stores.
The 100-acre estate near Harden may be used for a pilot project as part of ambitious moves to improve the rural economy.
Bradford council, which owns St Ives, is spearheading a range of initiatives to combat the decline of agriculture across the district.
It has teamed up with organisations such as the National Farmers Union, Countryside Agency, Yorkshire Water and Business Link.
The council is considering setting up a group of small holdings at St Ives whose tenant farmers would work together to make themselves financially viable.
The council would provide advice on business issues such as marketing, especially when farmers have identified a local demand for their products.
